This is a list of initiatives that the University for Peace endorses.

The Peace & Conflict Monitor is an online forum for informed debate and peace journalism. Drawing on contributions from the students, researchers, and journalists who make up the majority of its wide readership, the PCM offers unique perspectives on current events from around the world. To join in on the discussion, please contact editor@monitor.upeace.org.
The Peace and Conflict Review is a fully peer-reviewed, open-access journal published semi-annually by the University for Peace. Issues generally include a selection of scholarly articles, conference papers, and reviews of academic work. Africa Peace and Conflic Journal Africa Peace and Conflict Journal
The aim of the APCJ peer review process is to be rigorous and free of bias, ensuring that only high-quality, innovative work is published. The interdisciplinary emphasis of APCJ seeks to encourage the building of the field, combining the disciplines of peace and conflict studies, development, and human and social security in Africa. OPEN is a web-based portal for institutions involved with peace and conflict studies, both in research and practice. Participating institutions can announce programs and events under their own logo and identifying label, with a direct electronic link to their own website. Announcements of programs and events can be posted on the OPEN space, and interested visitors can link to the institution's website for further information on the event and institution. www.open.upeace.org
UPEACE Centre for Executive Education
Located in Costa Rica, on the UPEACE campus, the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education delivers dynamic courses to leaders from around the world. The Centre reaches out to nonprofit leaders, business executives, educators at all levels, UN staff, students and other professional audiences. The pedagogical approach to all courses is innovative, interactive, and participant centered, using case-studies and field trips when appropriate. The Centre aims to develop key leadership skills by incorporating the following crosscutting themes: Intercultural Communication, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and Teambuilding. www.centre.upeace.org
Human Rights Centre
Located within the United Nations- mandated University for Peace headquarters in Costa Rica, the UPEACE Human Rights Centre aims to promote and strengthen respect for human rights. The Centre carries out this aim through human rights education, training, research and awareness raising activities. The Centre takes a practice based approach to the protection of human rights and promotes the integration of the theory and practice of human rights. The Centre also takes a multi-disciplinary approach to human rights and attaches equal importance to all human rights. For more information vist our website at www.hrc.upeace.org
Earth Charter Initiative
The Earth Charter is an authoritative synthesis of values, principles, and aspirations that are widely shared by growing numbers of men and women in all regions of the world. Earth Council is proud to have participated in the creation of the Earth Charter and is committed to using these principles to guide its activities towards achieving a sustainable future for all life. www.earthcharter.org
The U.S. Association for the University for Peace (UPEACE/US)
The U.S. Association for the University for Peace (UPEACE/US) was founded in 2006 to promote and advance the United Nations-mandated University for Peace and the practice of educating for peace in the United States. Its three main functions are to (1) educate and train for peace (2) manage the Global Network for Upeacebuilders (3) support the strategic development of the UPEACE system.  UPEACE/US is 501(c)(3) public charity located in Washington D.C. Climate Change and Vulnerability Conference Climate Change and Vulnerability Conference
The Hague, Netherlands, 2007
The Climate Change and Vulnerability Conference addresses the need to build capacities for proactive local leadership to address the risks of climate warming, particularly in vulnerable island and coastal states.
Participants included distinguished policy makers, technical experts, scholars, and community leaders from over 30 countries. The University for Peace (UPEACE) organized the Conference. www.upeace.org/climate
